Nettles Island Veterans:

Our purpose is to provide a connection point for the Veteran population of Nettles Island. The main intent of this group of men and women is one of remembrance, solidarity, education and good fellowship. We are committed to being a support group to NI veterans and their families who are in need.

Active membership shall be open to any Veteran (male or female) of the US Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, Navy (Active or Reserve service), National Guard or Merchant Marines, residing at Nettles Island as an owner or renter. Active membership of this group shall be without discrimination.

Wayne is the previous (St. Lucie Veterans Services Coordinator).  Jose is Wayne’s replacement.  Wayne recently retired. 

 

2020-2021 Veterans Schedule

Wednesday December 9th - 3:00 p.m. - Veterans meeting.  Chairs will be set for social distancing.  Please wear face covering.

Saturday December 12th - 9:00 a.m. - Christmas in the Round.  Tim DeHaven & Al Weinerman will give details at the meeting.

Wednesday December 16th - Veterans luncheon at Shuckers .  Contact Al Falkenberg for sign up.

VA URGENT CARE CLINIC TIPS

Nettles Island Veterans is open to anyone who served in the military (United States or Canada). All branches including Merchant Marines and National Guard are included. Active or Reserve and any duty station. Our purpose is to help preserve the history of the veterans who served. We also provide information on veterans' benefits and other pertinent information. We meet on Wednesdays once per month from October to March. We bring in guest speakers to our meeting and we also support other local veteran organizations.
